ACT Preparation Classes

A higher score usually means more money…

We can help your student achieve that magic number. Help Me Afford College offers four types of ACT classes to help your student achieve the highest score possible. Each class is designed to fit your student's particular needs.

Orientation:

This class is designed to be an introduction to the ACT for students who have never taken the ACT. We will discuss test anxiety, what kind of questions to expect on the test, and time management.

Beginners:

Once your student has taken the ACT, he/she will have a better understanding of how the test is given, and what kind of questions to expect. This small class will help your student navigate their way through the ACT with ease. We will practice with previous ACT test items and discuss and apply strategies toward finding the right answer choice.

Advanced Review:

If your student has taken our Beginners class, and still wants to improve his/her score, we offer an intense, three-week course which involves mock testing and an in-depth focus on each content area. There will be more individual help available as we help your student focus on their strengths, and develop their weaknesses.

30 + Club:

If your student has taken the ACT numerous times, always reaching for just one...more...point...the 30+ club could be the solution to that nuisance. Often times one point could be standing in the way of a full-tuition, merit-based scholarship, and this only adds extra pressure on a student who normally does well in the classroom. If your student has already participated in Help Me Afford College's Advanced Review class and is dedicated to improving his/her score, we can offer one-on-one help. We will use the sub-scores provided by ACT to determine which area seems to be giving your student the most trouble. Tutoring provided by certified teachers is available for this exclusive group of students.

There is a minimum ACT score required to be eligible for this service. Please inquire for more information.
