Are you interested in the field of education and have plans to become a teacher? Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, is announcing their BEACON and DAYSTAR programs. These programs will both challenge you as well as provide you with both the skills and experience to pursue National Teacher Certification. Harris Stowe State college Summer Academy
The classes meet Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on the Harris Stowe Campus. Classes in Communication Arts and Mathematics will be the focus areas of their enrichment program. In addition to these core classes, college counseling, including obtaining financial aid and navigating the registration and admissions processes, will be included. The Summer Academy is free of any financial obligation. If you are interested, please stop by the guidance office to pick up your application.

Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The St. Charles County Election Office is offering a $500.00 Most Valuable Student scholarship to at least four individuals across the 114 counties in Missouri. The application must be filed before June 15, with the election board chairman. Applications are at the local high schools.
Oxford Advanced Studies Program
If you are setting your sights on a good college, the chances, are you'll be faced with tough competition. The Oxford Advanced Studies Program offers a superb academic curriculum in a range of subjects from which two or three are chosen. The one on one tutorial method is one of the distinctive features of the course. If you would like additional information, please stop by the guidance office.
St. Charles Community College Small Group Registration
Attention students who plan to attend St. Charles Community College in the fall! Every Friday, the college will hold small group registration. Counselors will answer all your questions about college, classes and you'll be registered in one visit. You will need to bring assessment scores with you.
The NO-ADdiction Campaign Essay Contest
20 winners across the United States will receive a $500 scholarship. All entries must be postmarked no later than October 16. Applications can be found in the college and career room.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Scholarship Program

The Washington Town and Country Fair Farm Mechanic's Show
The Washington Town and Country Fair have announced their annual Farm Mechanic's Show. Pre-registration is required for all entries and there may be no substitution. Completed registration forms must be returned no later than July 18. Applications can be found in the college and career room.
